The Ruff Recorders – “An Early Music Recorder Ensemble for the Uncertain”.
We are a band of enthusiastic ‘musicians’ whose first music love was the recorder, and early music. Most of us also play for the Rusty Players of Oundle and the ‘Ruffians’ are often in attendance during tea at concerts providing a gentle background entertainment; following the Taflemusic tradition of playing good music in good company and with good refreshments.
We practice at St. Rumbold’s Church, Stoke Doyle and in return for their hospitality we play for special services such as ‘Beating the Bounds’, Harvest, Mothering Sunday and Christmas.
