Peterborough Flute Choir

Peterborough Flute Choir

Friday 12 July   The Talbot Hotel, New St., Oundle  7:45 pm

Peterborough Flute Choir was founded in 2018 by Charlie Kisby who, having enjoyed playing in other flute choirs around the south east of England, wanted to have one of her own! Since the first rehearsal with four members, the group has grown to 18 regular flautists from in and around Peterborough, Spalding, Chatteris and Oundle. The ensemble aims to raise the profile of the flute family of piccolo, concert, alto and bass flutes. In 2022 the choir performed at The Mayor’s Ball and for Nene Park’s Music in the Park. Helping to raise money for charities is also a key focus and the choir has performed previously at Wisbech St Mary’s Open Gardens and at John Lewis to support the Alzheimer’s Society. Similarly, each Christmas the group joins forces with the Light Project, Peterborough to raise money at venues like Tescos. Come and enjoy a wonderful evening of enchanting music.
