Come and spend an entertaining hour with poet Nic Aubury who will be reading from his new book Things My Children Think I’m Wrong About as well as from earlier collections.

Nic’s short, witty and perceptive poems have appeared in anthologies published by Penguin, Carcanet and Bloodaxe, as well as in the Guardian and on BBC Radio 4’s Woman’s Hour. He has performed at various festivals, including Latitude, Ledbury and the Cheltenham Poetry Festival. His first pamphlet, Small Talk (Nasty Little Press, 2011), was chosen by Sophie Hannah as one of her books of the year. His short collection, Cold Soup, was published by Nasty Little Press in 2016, and his first full collection, Ignore It All & Hope It Goes Away, was published by David Fickling Books in 2022. His new collection, Things My Children Think I’m Wrong About, is due to be published in June 2024 by Bedford Square Publishing. He currently writes a weekly, four-line poem for the New European, and is a regular contributor on the How To Hold A Grudge podcast.

Nic Aubury’s poetry is…an utter delight – memorable, musical, witty and just brilliant in every way. Nic is hands down the best new poet to emerge in the last 20 years. (Sophie Hannah)
